Catching up with Allison!

Whew....where do I even begin!! I know most of you have seen the video of Allison crawling, since then she has increased her speed by like 10mph. We cannot turn our heads for even one second. She is pulling herself up on to tables, chairs, couches, her crib…whatever she can find! She is having so much fun being on the run.

It was the cutest thing ever, the other night we were playing tickle bug and was saying to her “ I am going to get you”, she opened her eyes really wide, busted up laughing and took off crawling. She knew exactly what game we were playing, she would look back to see where I was trailing and she just kept laughing and trying to get away!! Oh my gosh, it makes me laugh out loud just telling the story. She is just so darn cute and funny!

Bug keeps her teacher at school laughing all day, she is the entertainer at school and is making new friends all the time! If Allison doesn’t give her teachers “the finger” they ask me is she is feeling okay. I guess the finger is a statement of her mood…lol! You know you are loved when she gives you the finger.

Bug had her first “incident report” at school, she was playing at the balance bar, looking at her cute face in the mirror and apparently feeling like a dare devil and let go of the bar and bonked her forehead on the mirror. She had a little bruise but she was back up and playing in no time.

OH… Another huge milestone… Allison is now waving “bye-bye”!! We were leaving school yesterday and waved to Ms. Pam, it melted my heart and Ms. Pam’s. Allison completely amazes us every day, she is just an absolute joy!

Every day Allison is talking more, and I am pretty sure she called me mama and not just babbling the words. She was crawling over to me, pulling herself up on my legs and said “mama”… it brought tears to my eyes. Such a proud mama moment!!

Allison is starting to adjust to her new house, the first week was a bit rough. Not only a new environment but she was cutting her 3rd and 4th tooth. Yep, she now has 4 teeth, two bottom and two top. So the last two weeks mommy and daddy have been very tired and have spent too much money on coffee..haha! Daddy’s back is a little stiff from sleeping on the couch with Allison. All worth it though, soon she will be sleeping all by herself and we will want those nights back ;) Even when you are exhausted, and maybe at your wits end, nothing is better than starring at the sweet face of your baby sleeping on your chest. Ahhh… I could go on and on but I will save it for another time..LOL!

So, Halloween is creeping upon us…. Watch for pictures of lady in her first Halloween costume, she is going to be so cute! I hope she allows me to put the costume on her without too much of a fight, she is getting very vocal when it comes time to dress her, if she had it her way, she would be in her birthday suit all day …hehe!

Allison is having such a great time in music class, now that she is mobile, she is crawling around visiting the music teacher and other music friends. She really enjoys the songs, we listen to them every day on our way home from school and while playing at home. Few more years and she will be playing the piano with Grandma Cindy.

Bug is such a foodie, just like her mommy and daddy! She loves snack time at school and whenever her friends are eating and she is not, she thinks they are eating her food! LOL She is now eating solid foods three times a day, and we have just added in snack times. Yum! This week she had eggplant for the first time and absolutely loved it! I can’t wait until she can help us cook, maybe I will get her a little chef hat, how cute would that be!?!

Oh and check out the pictures of her and CK (Cousin Kayden) too adorable for words! We all had a great time playing together while his mommy and daddy went on a date.

I know there is so much more but mommy has to go make babyfood for her little ladybug! Hope you are all having a wonderful week and Happy Halloween!!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game...

Bug attended her very first sporting event this past weekend, she joined mommy and friends for some birthday fun! Good food, Great friends and family, and of course the fabulous cupcakes. She even sported a DiamondBacks t-shirt to show her support! A great time was had by all!

Pretty in Pink!!

Look how adorable she is in her little tutu that Grandma Cindy got for her. She was a true little lady in the outfit, and managed to keep it on until all the guests arrived for the party, a true lady of party etiquette in my opinion!! Proud mama for sure!

Mama's little helper!

With her OWN rolling pin and spoons in hand, lady bug was such a big helper with baking cupcakes for Amanda and Troy's engagnement gift. We had a great time, she really wanted to lick the spoon but her and mommy both resisted and saved it for daddy.

Check out the finished product, I must say they turned out pretty good (pat on back). Chocolate cupcakes with whopper frosting (Aunt Amanda's favorite chocolate candy) with a splash of color to highlight their wedding colors.

What's new with Sweet Lady

Sorry, we haven’t posted anything in a couple weeks. Life happened and Mama has been feeling a little under the weather. Has anyone else been a victim of the wishy washiness of Mother Nature?? But when she decides, look out!! Mama’s gonna knock you out!! ( Anyone remember LL Cool J ) Sorry, couldn’t help myself… hehe.

So, Miss Allison has been keeping busy with some new toys, shapes in a box (which she prefers empty at all times), and her new drums and learning the guitar with daddy. She is becoming very vocal and loves to reach for anything in sight! And she will surely let you know if there is something she wants and can’t reach. She has mastered the art of grunting and rolling her rrrr’s until she gets it.

Bug has been doing so great with eating, new items on the menu are; carrots and lentils. She isn’t quite taking to the sippy cup just yet but, she does like to drink from it without the lid. She wants to drink like mommy and daddy, it is so cute! It poors down the front of her shirt but you can see and hear the gulps and then all smiles on her face.

School Time
Monkey see Money do?? Now picture this…. The little guys in her class are scooting and crawling around the room. Allison is watching them so intensely, and really focused ( she has the same focus face as her mama, WE MEAN BUSINESS) strategizing on “ how are they doing that”… can you can see the wheels turning!?! We love it!

And after all that time watching those little guys and reaching for the objects that are on the "no,no" list, she rolled over!! She was so proud of herself, she looked at me and then gave me a big smile. I was so excited and proud of her and couldn't wait for daddy to get home to witness her great achievement.

JUST ME AND MY DADDY

Allison and daddy love to play, giggle and one of their favorite things to do is take naps together. I find so much pleasure in wathcing them and capturing these precious moments. She is almost saying “da-da”, I am sure it won’t be long before she has it down. And once that happens, OH BOY… is he in trouble or what!?! He will never be able to say no again! Ha-ha! These pictures just melt a mommy’s heart!

What's New With Allison...

Allison attended her first music and song class. She didn’t know what to do at first, she just sat there taking it all in. Intensely starring with amazement at the other kids, and listening to the sweet voice of Indigo (the teacher). Mommy and daddy had so much fun dancing and singing, a great time was had by all! We will definitely enroll in the fall semester, please stay tuned for more updates and pictures.

We just bought her an alphabet drum, maracas, and our friendly neighbor Jan gave her a little purple shaker and tambourine. All to add to her xylophone Grandma & Grandpa Bogle gave her. Her band is almost complete! By the way, she is taking auditions for a lead singer for her band.

SLEEPING BEAUTY

Allison is about to embark on her 6th month of glorious childhood, and WOW, it has gone by so fast and it is been the time of our lives! While uploading family pictures, we noticed a trend. It seems we love taking pictures of her while she sleeps. She is so peaceful and beautiful, who could resist!?! Just look how much she has grown, from her birth day to now!! She has grown out of her little mosses basket, guess we have to put it way until she has a brother.. he he!
